Posting this on Saturday, January 3 for Friday, January 2. Last night Laura made sushi while I was out and I don't have any pics of the process, although we did take a few of the finished products. We ate it while we watched a movie and when the movie was over we went to bed, so I didn't have a chance to blog about it. The movie was "The Help". I loved it, but then, I had read the book. I think Laura liked it too.
Sushi
If you want to read more about the sushi process, we elaborated a bit more the last time she made it, back in October in "Sushi: It's Not About Raw Fish".
Nori Wraps
I love the seaweed wraps in my sushi, but Laura isn't a fan, so she makes hers with the rice wraps.Rice Wraps
Rice wraps are a bit harder to work with but they have little to no flavor, so they're great if you're not a fan of nori. They're clear, so in the photo, they're the ones without the dark green in the spiral.Ingredients
Sushi ricesesame seeds
Nori wraps
Rice wraps
Cucumber
Mushrooms
Avocado
Mango
Rice vinegar
Served with:
WasabiSoy sauce
Plate of sushi
